Combi heating boilers for tiny houses
Combi heating boilers for tiny houses
If you have a smaller home a combi gas boiler offers space saving opportunities to you. With just a combi heating boiler and balanced flue you have all the parts you need to fit a full central heating system. Include radiators and copper pipes and you are then able to warm your household. Many people might ask whether some component parts had been missed from this system. The hot water storage tank, the feed and expansion cylinder ordinarily put in the attic, the central heating pump and other component pieces that central heating and hot water systems seem to need.
Surprisingly a combi gas boiler does not need any of these pieces. You do not need to purchase a hot water storage tank, the feed and enlargement tank can be left out of the loft, the other small pieces we have mentioned are in reality built into the combi heating boiler. The consequence is that a lot of storage space is saved inside your home.
The combination boiler is not new. They have a longer history in Europe but have now become the most common gas boiler in the United Kingdom. There are two major deviations to be highlighted when likened with conventional boilers. On the central heating side you still have a fully pumped system but all the heated water which circles around is sealed in. Having no open outlets there is no need for a feed and expansion cylinder in the loft. Extra storage space is saved by the heating boiler incorporating its own hot water storage vessel removing the requirement for the hot water storage tank.
The gas boiler produces hot water immediately as it is needed, turning on a hot water signals this requirement to the gas boiler. An economical internal heat exchanger is used to quickly heat up cold water. Hot water circulating in the heating system is diverted to the heat exchanger. In this way new mains cold water is quickly heated before reaching the hot water valve.
Hot water output is prioritised ahead of the passage of hot water to the radiators. When the tap is closed again the central heating water is returned to its normal circuit.
It is possible to fit a new gas boiler in a tiny apartment and not need a significant amount of storage space.
