Do you recognise the different layouts of heating system boilers

There are different kinds of Gas Central Heating Systems that can be purchased in the market. Almost all these systems have a central heating boiler at the core, with pipework connecting it to central heating radiators.

People in the United Kingdom, Europe and some parts of Russia, hardly need an air conditioner because of the low average temperature. Today a good Gas Central Heating system has become a major part of every home, so much so that it is being installed in all the new houses that are being built.

With the onset of winter, heating becomes crucial to warming your home. Heating your home provides a relaxing and cosy atmosphere. So you want to be sure that your Central Heating System is dependable. Additionally, your central heating system should also be safe, user-friendly and durable.

Sealed and vented or pumped systems are the two leading types of Central Heating Systems available.

You will find pumped/vented systems in most homes at the moment. Heating systems using the pump or vent process are equipped with a tank to allow for feeding of replacement water and expansion of heated water. Hot water from the storage tank supplies your kitchen and bath while also heating up the radiators. When the water expands as it is heated the expansion tank allows for this. The tank is placed in the highest place, normally the attic area. It not only heats the house, but also supplies hot water.

For many years now, pumped/vented systems have been the norm for Gas Central Heating.

The sealed Central Heating system is one that more and more people are opting for these days. This system doesn’t have water tanks as it’s a closed heating system, this will save you space and reduce maintenance costs as there are fewer components. There are no pipework or tanks also in the attic, the system is sealed in the true sense and it has its own advantages.

- Frozen attic pipes are no longer a problem.

- No maintenance work on the tank or pipes that would be in the loft in a pumped/vented system.

- The risk of leaks is decreased.

- Reduced risk of air locks, corrosion and sludge as there isn’t a chance of air being drawn down into the system through open vents as the system is sealed.

- Can be easily rinsed out under pressure via the main water supply.

All the required controls and safety devices are incorporated into the sealed Gas Central Heating systems. A sealed Central Heating System uses water that comes directly from the main water supply. The mains water goes direct to the sealed system.

Normal variations of pressure can be allowed in a sealed system through a pressure vessel that contains compressed gas; this is separated from the sealed system water by a diaphragm. The safety valve opens up when the pressure in the system rises so that water can escape through it, on the other hand it opens up when the pressure drops down so that the water can refill the system.

Gas Central Heating Systems are a worthwhile investment as they have the lowest cost of performance when compared with other types of heating. Moreover, they offer all kinds of control, which are normally not found in other heating systems giving you a more enjoyable environment.
