There are distinct configurations of Heating gas boiler

There are various kinds of Central Heating Systems that can be purchased in the market. Almost all these systems have a gas boiler at the core, with pipework connecting it to central heating radiators.

People in the UK, Europe and some parts of Russia, hardly need an air conditioner because of the low average temperature. Today a good Central Heating system has become a major part of every household, so much so that it is being fitted in all the new houses that are being built.

Heating is essential, particularly whens winter is heading our way. Heating your home provides a relaxing and cosy atmosphere. Your Gas Central Heating System needs to be reliable. Additionally, your central heating system should also be safe, user-friendly and durable.

Sealed and vented or pumped systems are the two leading types of Central Heating Systems available.

The vented/pumped one is more common of the two. A pumped/vented Gas Central Heating System has a feed and expansion tank. Hot water from the storage tank supplies your kitchen and bath while also heating up the radiators. The tank makes way for any water expansion that is caused by the heating process. You will most likely find the expansion tank kept in the highest part of the house. The tank provides a dual supply of hot water and warmth for the house.

Most houses, especially the old ones will have a vented/pumped heating system.

A boiler system that is somewhat newer and more modern and that most people are choosing nowadays over the pumped/vented Central Heating system is the sealed system. No water tanks are needed for a Sealed system as it is a completely closed setup saving space. There are benefits to have this closed type of system with pipework and tanks being unnecessary.

- There is no risk of pipes freezing in the loft as with older systems.

- No maintenance or repair work is required for the pipes and tank which would have been in the loft.

- This decreases the chances of a possible leakage.

- The air cannot enter the system as its sealed and hence there are lesser risks of sludge, corrosion and airlocks developing.

- If necessary, the system can be flushed out under pressure using the main water supply.

A sealed Central Heating System is a system with the required controls and safety equipment all contained in one. The water for a sealed Gas Central Heating System is supplied direct from the main water supply. It is plumbed straight into the main water supply.

The system also has a pressure vessel which contains compressed gas, it controls the variations in pressure and a diaphragm is used to separate it from the sealed system. If the pressure becomes too high in a sealed Gas Central Heating System; a safety valve will allow water to escape from the system and if the pressure drops too low a valve will open to refill the system with water.

Central Heating systems are a great way to keep your household warm, also they don’t cost you as much as the other systems would. They also offer you all round control which is more than most heating systems do.
